CAPES _ and Purdue University are accepting applications for doctoral scholarships in agronomy in the United States. Five full doctorate scholarships are available. Registration is open until October 13th.
The scholarships cover the annual fees and also offer a monthly amount of at least US$2,333.34/month. There is also travel and return assistance for the scholarship holder and one dependent, assistance for settling in the country, health insurance assistance for up to two dependents and other benefits. The total value of aid can reach US$50,338.96 (around R$250 thousand) per year! Purdue University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana, and is considered one of the top 50 universities in the United States.

To apply, you must fill out the online application form ( available here . It is also necessary to present the documents specified in the notice . You must also prove your level of proficiency in the English language and present the following minimum scores in one of the tests below:
- I – TOEFL iBT: minimum of 94 points
- II – IELTS: total minimum of 7.0 points
- III – Duolingo English Test: 125 points
After analysis, CAPES will forward to Purdue a list of up to 20 candidates who obtain the highest scores among the Program’s areas. Recommended candidates must register on Purdue’s electronic application . You may also need to submit your Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score if required by the department of interest.
Purdue University will choose up to five candidates, and may even select no candidate at all. The final results will be released by March 4, 2024 and classes should start in August of the same year. Registration closes on October 13th!
