The Chilean Agency for International Development Cooperation (AGCID) is accepting applications for the Republic of Chile 2024 scholarship program . These are scholarships from the Chilean government for selected master’s degrees in the country, with a maximum duration of two years. Registration is open until November 30th.

The scholarships fully cover the study costs of the programs covered, and offer scholarship holders a monthly payment of 560,000 Chilean pesos (equivalent to around R$3,000 at the current exchange rate). In the first academic semester, scholarship recipients will also receive an amount of 90 thousand pesos (R$480) to cover the costs of books and study materials. The scholarships also include health insurance and access to Chile’s public health system.

Applying for Chilean government scholarships

To apply for scholarships, you must first be accepted into the desired master’s program. Documentation for the application must be presented both on paper and in physical digital format (CD or pen drive). The required documents are the following:

  • Application form to the scholarships, completed and signed
  • Letter of acceptance from the candidate to the master’s program of their choice
  • Health certificate issued and signed by an authorized doctor
  • Academic record and graduation diploma
  • CV with an emphasis on professional and academic experience
  • Declaration indicating that the candidate has read and accepted the terms of the scholarship
  • Brief motivation letter , explaining the choice of course, your study objectives and how the knowledge can be applied when returning to Brazil
  • Brief description of the possible area and theme of your master’s thesis
  • Academic recommendation letter
  • A letter from the fellow’s current employer endorsing their master’s degree and stating whether or not they will maintain their position upon return

Documents must be delivered either to the Chilean embassy in the candidate’s country or to one of the Brazilian addresses listed in this document .

Applications for Chilean government scholarships must be made by November 30th.
