How much? You can earn as much as 28,000 euros annually.
Until when? October 12th
Do you dream of studying in Ireland? Applications for the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Program are open until October 12th. Irish government scholarships are an initiative of the country’s education ministry.
The program offers the opportunity to develop a research project in the country, accompanied by a supervisor, in the selected area of interest. Candidates from all areas are eligible. Scholarships last for one or two years for a master’s degree, and three or four years for a doctorate.
What the scholarships include
The maximum value of the scholarship is 28 thousand euros per year. This amount includes 19 thousand euros for maintenance in the country and up to 5,750 euros for the course’s annual fee. Those selected can also request an amount of up to 3,250 euros for their research project.
To apply, you must have completed an undergraduate degree in any field and demonstrate good academic performance. It is also necessary that the candidates’ study programs are full-time, and that they live in Ireland for the duration of the scholarship — that is, throughout their study period, which can be up to 4 years. Brazilians must apply in category 2, aimed at non-European students.
How to Apply for Irish Government Scholarships
Candidates must check the Terms and Conditions before starting your application. They must have already completed their degree with good performance, and must submit an online application including academic history and diplomas already obtained.
As part of the process, applicants will also be required to submit a research project and nominate a supervisor in Ireland. They must also nominate two people who can write letters of recommendation for him directly to the Irish government. More information, as well as forms that must be completed for application and by supervisors, can be seen on the scholarship’s official page.
Applications are made via the Research Council of Ireland website and run until October 12th , but the deadline for sending some documents (such as letters of recommendation) is a little longer. Take a look at the questions people ask most often right here.
