The Government of Ireland is accepting applications for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI – IES). The scholarship program to study in Ireland fully covers the study and living costs of postgraduate students at a university in the country. Registration is open until March 13th!

The scholarship recipient will receive the amount of 10 thousand euros to cover costs such as transportation, housing and food during their stay in Ireland. In addition, the scholarship will fully cover the scholarship holder’s studies, including tuition and other administrative fees at the destination university ( check here all the universities that participate in the program). In total, the government intends to grant up to 60 scholarships.

The scholarship is valid for one year and is intended for master’s or doctoral students. Students from any area can apply.

Here’s how you can apply for scholarships to study in Ireland

To apply for the scholarship, you must already have an offer of enrollment at the university. In other words: you must apply separately to the institution of choice. Successful scholarship recipients are expected to begin their studies in September or October 2024.

According to the notice, ideal candidates for the scholarship are those who demonstrate academic excellence, excellent communication skills, engagement in extracurricular activities (including humanitarian work, political activity, arts or sports) and who know how to argue consistently about the reasons why deserve to receive the scholarship to study in Ireland.

The candidate must fill out a form and send other documents ( see the full notice here ). Registration is open until March 13th! , and can be done through this link . The results should be announced between the end of May and the beginning of June.
