The government of Flanders (a region of Belgium) is accepting applications for the Master Mind Scholarships program . The program offers scholarships to students of any nationality, who have completed higher education at a university outside the Flanders region and who want to pursue a master’s degree in Belgium. Registration is open until April 28th.
The maximum value of the scholarship is 10 thousand euros per academic year, plus 1,500 euros for relocation costs. Of this amount, the higher education institution at which the student will complete the master’s degree can request an annual tuition fee with an initial value of 131.50 euros. In subsequent years, this annual fee may increase slightly, according to the program notice.
The scholarship only covers universities located in Flanders. There are a total of 12 options, including five universities (University of Leuven, University of Antwerp, Ghent University, Hasselt University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel), in addition to seven other colleges offering more specific courses. How to apply for master’s scholarships in Belgium
To apply for the scholarship, students must demonstrate knowledge of English (minimum of 90 points on the TOEFL or a score of 6.5 on the IELTS ). It is also necessary that the average of your academic record is at least 3.5 points, out of 4 possible points. More information about the prerequisites for signing up can be seen on this page.
You will also need to upload a recent photo, passport pages, diploma and transcript in French, English or Dutch. If the candidate’s diploma and transcript are in another language, translations will need to be provided. The candidate must also send a letter of motivation, in English, and two letters of recommendation (also in English) from university professors.
