Applications are open until December 3rd . for Master’s Scholarships in China at the Yenching Academy, which is part of Peking University . According to the institution, there are about 120 scholarships available.
The program, taught entirely in English, includes interdisciplinary research on China and its relationship with other countries. It includes mandatory Chinese language classes and study trips, and allows students to take optional electives in the areas of literature and culture, history and archeology, philosophy and religion, law and society, economics and management, and politics and international relations. How to Apply for the Master’s Program at Yenching Academy
To apply, you must have completed your undergraduate degree in any area of knowledge (or complete it before August 2024) and have excellent academic performance .
The candidate must prove his interest in interdisciplinary studies about China, as well as leadership potential . Extracurricular activities and engagement in social projects also count towards selection.
Interested applicants must submit the following documents:

- Personal statement of up to 750 words
- Research proposal (maximum one page)
- Curriculum
- School records and diplomas
- Two letters of recommendation
- English proficiency certificate
English proficiency must be demonstrated by one of the following certificates: IELTS (with a score of 7.0 or above), TOEFL iBT (score of 100 or above), Cambridge exams with an overall score of 185 or above, and with a level equivalent to C1 on the of common European reference. Certificates must be dated September 2022 or later.
