Abo Akademi University, a university located in the city of Turku, is offering full scholarships for master’s degrees in Finland. The eight courses taught in English at the university are eligible for the scholarship, which include programs in areas such as Law, Education and Information Technology. Registration opens on January 3rd and runs until the 17th of the same month.
The scholarships offered by the university cover 100% or 80% of the master’s tuition fees , which reach 12 thousand euros per year. Initially, the scholarship only covers the first year of tuition , and the programs offered by the university last two years. But the scholarship can be renewed for the second year if the student maintains good academic performance.
How to apply for master’s scholarships in Finland
It is not necessary to make a separate application for scholarships. On the application form for the master’s degree, the candidate can mark that they intend to apply for opportunities, and the university’s decision regarding the scholarships will be communicated together with the admission letter (if the candidate is accepted).
To apply for a master’s degree, you must have already completed your degree in an area related to the chosen program and check the specific requirements of each program. In all cases, you must also prove proficiency in English. According to the university website , the accepted certificates are IELTS Academic (with a minimum score of 6.5 and no less than 5.5 in individual areas), TOEFL (minimum 92 points on iBT), CAE, CPE or Pearson English Test.
