Santander and the University of Pennsylvania are offering 90 full scholarships for young people aged 18 to 30 who want to learn English in the United States . The three-week course runs from July 8 to 28, 2024. To participate, you must have a minimum level of low-intermediate English (normally equivalent to B1). The courses are only intended for students at level B1 to C1. Sign up by March 13th !
What scholarships to study English in the USA offer
- Round-trip flights
- Accommodation in a room in a university residence for the entire duration of the scholarship
- 20 hours of classes per week (from low-intermediate to advanced level)
- Health insurance
- Basic meal plan in the university cafeteria
- Upon finishing the course, you’ll receive a certificate of participation.
- Sociocultural activities
- Lectures by guest faculty from other Penn departments
Each student must also take two elective courses. Possible subjects are:
- Communication and social media (pre-intermediate level)
- Innovation and technology (intermediate and advanced levels)
- Leadership and team building (all levels)
- Positive psychology and resilience (intermediate and advanced levels)
- Professional Business Writing (Advanced Level)
- Strategic planning and persuasive communication (advanced level)
- Sustainability (intermediate and advanced levels)
To register, you must fill out the application form on the Santander portaluntil 3/13. On 3/14, a skills test will be carried out . The 400 best candidates will be selected for phase 2, which consists of filling out forms, sending documents and sending a motivation letter.
To travel, those selected for the course must have a passport valid until January 2025 and an entry visa. The processing of visas and/or passports is the responsibility of the scholarship holders.
