For whom? Women and non-binary people
How much? All tuition costs for up to 4 years at the desired university
Until when? December 13

The Science Ambassador program, launched by Cards Against Humanity , registration is open until December 13th . The initiative awards scholarships to women and non-binary people who intend to study fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (the acronym STEM in English) as an undergraduate.

The initiative fully covers annual fees for up to four years at the institutions chosen by the candidates. And according to the organization , even students who intend to study at universities outside the United States are eligible. Students who are already graduating, or who are in their final year of high school, on the eve of applying, can apply.

The only requirement to apply for the scholarship is that the student intends to complete a degree focused on an area that fits the STEM acronym. In this link , you can see all the courses that fall into this category.

How to apply for Science Ambassador

To apply, the interested student must send a video of up to three minutes explaining, in English, a concept in the STEM area that she likes. The subject does not need to be the candidate’s research topic, just a topic in which she is very interested. It could be a theme within Astronomy, for example, even if the student wants to study Civil Engineering in college.

The essential thing is that the video is creative, exciting, educational and scientifically accurate. The video must be placed on YouTube and marked as “public” . To get an idea of the format, just access examples from the finalists of past years.

To register online, simply fill out the form on the website from Science Ambassador. As part of the process, you will need to provide some contact information, your study history and your plans for the future. You will also need to insert the video link on YouTube and select the target audience for it, among a few options.

Registration can be made until December 13th . After confirming your candidacy, the student can still make changes to the data entered until the final date — it is even possible to change the video until that date. Applications will be evaluated, and some students will be selected for another stage of the process at the beginning of 2024. The chosen scholarship recipients will be announced in April 2024.
