Undergraduate Scholarships in Canada
There are three categories of scholarships. The first, the International Major Entrance Scholarship, is extendable for four years of graduation and can cover all annual fees; The second, the Outstanding International Student Award, can also cover the full tuition fee, but the award is only offered in the first year of graduation. It is possible for students to receive both.
There is no need to make a separate application for the scholarship: international students accepted by UBC are automatically considered to receive the aid. To compete, you must apply by January 15th . Among the evaluation criteria are academic performance and involvement in extracurricular activities. The announcement of selected students will begin to be announced between March and April 2024. More information on the institution’s website .
The International Scholars Program offers scholarships based on financial need and academic merit. The value of the scholarship, which is renewable, can cover annual fees and also include assistance for other expenses. In addition to the scholarship, program participants are included in a community of leaders that offers various initiatives, such as retreats, workshops, experimental projects, events and more.
To apply for the International Scholars Program, you must fill out a form specific program and submit a referral from your school or non-profit organization and a letter of reference. The application deadline is November 15th , but you can submit your application to UBC (which needs to be done separately) until December 1st . More information about the program here .
